Acrylic paint is an exciting and versatile medium and lends itself well to painting nature. If you have ever wanted to have a go with acrylics then this workshop is for you. Painting trees is a great way to gain a good understanding of the paint and its potential.

Using photographic reference and sketches, Wildlife artist and illustrator, Kim Thompson, will lead you through the painting of trees in a landscape with easy to follow steps, from sketches to finished painting.

Participants will master the fast drying time of acrylics, learn about composition and working in layers and practice the techniques Kim uses in her own paintings. There will be the opportunity to experiment with brushes, sponges and other mark making and by the end of the session everyone will have a better grasp of this fantastic medium.

This workshop will appeal to those who are looking to establish a good understanding of using acrylics or who might have already tried acrylics and want to learn more. Kim is a considerate and encouraging tutor and will bring a relaxed approach to the day.
