New Forest Show 28 - 30th July 2026

New Forest Show 28 - 30th July 2026

After weeks of boiling heat it was with some trepidation that I set off for the New Forest show and three days in a marquee! This year, although still located in the craft area, I was exhibiting as a member of New Forest Marque Inspired, an organisation which promotes creative people living in or inspired by the New Forest. It is great to be part of this organisation and I look forward to taking part in more events around the forest.

Despite the raging heat, the show was incredibly busy. A big thankyou to the many visitors to my stand who stopped to chat, buy cards and prints and discuss commissions.  It was also lovely to see familiar faces and returning customers, say hi to the ferrets and admire the stunning horses performing in the show rings. Many ice creams were enjoyed and the odd glass of local cider.

New to my stand this year was this oil painting called The Mariner of an Albatross sailing over the ocean.  It seemed to appeal to lots of people, probably because we all wished we could dive into the waves and cool off! This painting will soon be featured on my website for anyone interested in making a purchase. In the meantime here are some details: it measures 94 x 64 cms including a frame. is painted in oils on box canvas and the price is £1,200 including UK shipping.

Now time to unpack and prepare for the next event which will be Hampshire open studios at the end of August.
